Marvel Pull List - Week of 25/03

Ahoy, hoy, dear reader.  I almost doubled my page views in less than a 24 hour period the other day. Wonder if it had something to do with me posting on a certain Facebook page and the minor verbal back and forth that it caused?  People do love controversy!  But, that's not what we're here for - we're here for comics!!

DISCLAIMER TIME:

All of this information is suggested.  Sometimes books get delayed, sometimes they get cancelled all together. Most of the time the trades will be available.  Prices are also suggested and subject to change at the discretion of the shop owner or the publisher themselves.

So, without further adieu and absolutely no fanfare, we begin!

Runaways: The Complete Collection Vol. 3

I saw a cover for a trade, Dead End Kids, where almost half the cover was Joss Whedon's name. White background, small drawing of a character, book name, other creators and

!!JOSS WHEDON!!

So, it's not too hard to figure out how this book got sold initially. Seems as if these kids are making a name for themselves as they've been around for a while and are now getting omnibus style treatment. Anyone who's read this blog more then once will know I have not read any of this, but I do love Joss's dialogue and characterization so I'm sure it's good. Brian K. Vaughn and some decent artist's are also attached to the series so that always helps keep things running smooth when Joss is off making movies and TV shows.

SRP: $39.99
Contains: Civil War: Young Avengers and Runaways #1-4, Runaways (2nd Series) #19-30,                                 Runaways Saga, Secret Invasion: Runaways/Young Avengers #1-3.

Amazing Spider-Man - Epic Collection Vol. 22: Round Robin

Not the greatest picture, I'll admit, but there was slim pickings for this cover, not sure why.  I do love these collections, old issues printed together in convenient volumes.  Omnibus', compendiums', collections, digests, whatever they want to call it, I'll love it.  Guest appearances abound, as you can see from the cover.  Iron Man, Black Panther, Ultron, Moon Knight, Punisher, Nova, Night Thrasher and Darkhawk are all listed in the description.  With all those guest appearances I'm not sure how Peter Parker is going to get any panel time!

SRP: $34.99
Contains:  Amazing Spider-Man #351-360, Amazing Spider-Man Annual 25, Spectacular Spider-                        Man Annual 11, Web of Spider-Man Annual 7, Spider-Man: Fear Itself
CRD: 07/04

Secret Avengers Vol. 2: The Labyrinth

I try not to do this too much, or will try not to in the future, but I'm going to throw the blurb up from the back of the book:

"As Coulson's investigation takes him to Peru, Black Widow, Spider-Woman and Hawkeye go after Lady Bullseye and Artaud Derrida. The noose tightens as Maria Hill puts the pieces together, and the Secret Avengers find themselves hunted! What does S.H.I.E.L.D. want with the Fury? What is Tlon? M.O.D.O.K. explains it all - including his own amazing origin! And as Hawkeye and Deadpool team up, secrets come to light - and they might cost Black Widow her life! The true mastermind of the decay at the center of the Secret Avengers initiative is revealed, and the clues trace back to the start of it all! Hawkeye and Coulson face off, Vladimir makes a deal with the Fury, and the Helicarrier comes under attack! But with Maria Hill gone, what happens to the rest of the team?"

Sounds pretty jam packed but I can't help but get the feeling that in 5 issues things are going to be a little rushed or at least left open for further volumes. Definitely won't be a starting point book like some further-down-the-road volumes can be, but if you're all ready in to this you probably don't need me telling you anything about it.
